Full day rafting

REMOTE WILDERNESS - WILD - SCENIC - SPECTACULAR

Description

Wilderness rafting! The full day is not just a longer half day trip! We raft a whole different section!

Upon meeting at the raft base, we go for a scenic drive to our starting point close to Hattfjelldal. We there gear up and have a safety briefing before we get on to tackle some serious whitewater! Depending on water levels, some rapids may be too dangerous and we need to walk around them, but this is only to keep you alive for all the other rapids still awaiting downstream! It’s not all about adrenaline though. On this trip we travel through a truly unique canyon with untouched forests and high cliffs towering over the river. In fact this is a Nature Reserve! There is also a little surprise hike to a waterfall awaiting around the corner. Halfway we stop at a beach and serve you a warm lunch and cowboy coffee from the fire! The second part of the trip is slightly mellower, but even more scenic. I am literally blown away by the beauty of this canyon every time I go!

Difficulty & Safety

You will get a safety briefing and a paddle technique briefing before starting the trip. Your guides are absolute professionals with adequate river experience, and very high safety standards. The river is considered medium to  difficult (class III-IV+).

Important

  • Nature is the boss! Rain can bring water levels up over night and make it too dangerous. We will always communicate such an event as soon as possible and find alternatives.
  • If you have exceptionally large feet please bring your own running shoes that can get wet.
  • Let the staff know as soon as possible if you have health problems such as, but not limited to, heart conditions, diabetes, back injuries or shoulder  injuries.
  • Inform us about any allergies or dietary requirements for the lunch!

Photos

We will put on a photographer for the trip, and you can buy different packages afterwards, either the 5 best photos, 15 best photos or the full album.
