Full day rafting
REMOTE WILDERNESS - WILD - SCENIC - SPECTACULAR
Description
The Austervefsna River near Trofors flows through spectacular gorges with playful and lively rapids, while also offering calm sections where you can relax, lower your shoulders, and enjoy the river from a completely new perspective – on nature’s own terms.
We start as high up on the river as conditions allow; the starting point always depends on water levels. Some trips begin at Storio, just below Hattfjelldal, while others start at the confluence with the Fiplingelva River. Regardless of the starting point, we raft approximately 15 kilometers through inaccessible gorges, fun rapids, and gently flowing sections where there is time to truly take in the surroundings.
About halfway through the trip, we stop on the riverbank to enjoy a warm lunch. Along the way, there will be opportunities to swim in calm waters as well as in smaller rapids, and for those who wish, to jump from cliffs into the river.
Difficulty & Safety
Before the rafting trip begins, we go through all necessary safety instructions and provide training in efficient and safe paddling techniques. Rafting is a team activity, and good cooperation in the raft is essential for navigating safely where the guide directs.
Our guides are professional and highly experienced, with backgrounds from rafting rivers all over the world. All guides hold certified rafting qualifications, specialization in river rescue, and first aid training, along with solid practical experience. The river is graded as moderately difficult.
Important
- Nature is the boss! Rain can bring water levels up over night and make it too dangerous. We will always communicate such an event as soon as possible and find alternatives.
- If you have exceptionally large feet please bring your own running shoes that can get wet.
- Let the staff know as soon as possible if you have health problems such as, but not limited to, heart conditions, diabetes, back injuries or shoulder injuries.
- Inform us about any allergies or dietary requirements for the lunch!
Photos
We will put on a photographer for the trip if there are enough guests, and you can buy different packages afterwards.
