RiverNorth Camp

Our tranquil base camp is beautifully situated beside the Auster-Vefsna River, just a few hundred metres from the centre of Trofors. We offer space for tents, hammocks, vans, and RVs, as well as comfortable lavvos with fully made beds – perfect for those who want a little extra comfort.

The campsite features inviting fire pits, a trampoline for children, simple toilet and shower facilities, a cosy reading lounge, and a large covered area for relaxing, cooking, and sharing meals together. For 2026 there will also be a pump track for biking and a zipline for the children to use.

Right next door, you’ll find Grane Bygdetun, an open-air museum and a wonderful place for a peaceful stroll among historic buildings and riverside picnic areas.

Important. Please read…

• Register and pay upon arrival. If we are not around then we will sort it out in the morning.
• The closest space to charge your car is at the Coop supermarket in the centre – we do not have charging facilities for electric vehicles
• If you want to connect your RV or van to electricity then there is an additional fee to pay.
• Show up any time and find a spot in the designated areas yourself.
• Only park or camp in designated areas.
• DO NOT drive or camp on the grass in front of the big white rafting tent! It is reserved for kids and adults to play games, jump on the trampoline and hang out!

RV’s, caravans & vans:

• There are designated spots for RV’s and vans that need electricity.
• You can fill your water tank behind the big white rafting tent
• We don’t have a human waist disposal facility.

Tents:

• Set up your tent near the the big tarp.
• There are limited sockets for charging your camera or phone available in the small Lavvo.
• Use the big sheltered tarp area!

Glamping:
We offer two lavvos and one gamme that have been converted into glamping accommodation.

• The largest lavvo is a family lavvo, with one double bed and two single beds.
• The smaller lavvo has one double bed.
• The gamme has one double bed.

Hot tub:

• It costs Nok 700 to use the hottub and Nok 400 to use the sauna. These fees are pr. session, and you need to stoke the fire yourself.
• Bear in mind it takes at least 4 hours to get the hot-tub hot and  it needs continuous wood stacking and stirring of the water.
• Please clean up your empty drinks and trash afterwards
• Respect the neighbourhood and turn down the volume after 23 o’clock 😉
