Wilderness rafting

We also call this trip THE ULTIMATE EXPERIENCE! Not only do we raft through an incredible wilderness area, we also spend more time on the river then on a classic half day- and full day trip, crashing through a lot more rapids and following the rythm of the river itself.

Trip description

This longer daytrip runs through Austervefsna´s wildest canyons, and the is a part of Stillelva nature reserve. It is a “once in a lifetime” style trip, where the pristine whitewater and wilderness will make sure you forget all about the real world outside of the canyon walls. The rapids are bigger and more technical than on our other trips, and you should bring your little sense of adventure on this trip.

The forest along this section is untouched and wild, the bird life is exquisite with regular sights of eagles and hawks! Not many people have seen thes places we raft by with their own eyes, as many parts are not accessible, not even for the most avid of fishermen. We bring warm lunch with us in our rafts and will stop at a beautiful beach to enjoy a meal about half-way down the canyon.

You don’t need experience for this trip, but exitement for water and outdoors! We gladly take first timers onto our full day trip, just be aware to spend a day on the water with no way out! As good as it gets our guides would say.

Photos

Such an experience will feel so much better once you can share the photos with your friends and family, or even on your social media accounts. Right? We then bring along an extra “photo kayaker” to capture the best moments of your life. If you are more than 10 people we can do a discount – please get in touch by e-mail or phone.

Difficulty & Safety

You will get a safety briefing and a paddle technique briefing before starting the trip. Your guides are absolute professionals with adequate river experience, and very high safety standards. The river is considered medium difficult (class III-IV+).
